Appalachian Youth Service (AYS) was established in 1977 for the care and treatment of “at risk” youth. Our campus is conveniently located minutes off Route 219 and Route 22 on a secluded 12-acre campus in the
heart of Cambria County. Our programs are licensed by the Department of Human Services under the 3800 Child Residential and Day Treatment Facilities.

OUR PROGRAMSAYS currently operates a 15 bed residential facility and two Day Treatment Programs. All programs utilize the evidenced based practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with special attention given
to Trauma Informed Care (TIC), Trauma Focused Care (TFC), and Trauma Responsive Care (TRC). |
